Privacy Policy

WatchTimestamp is a free public utility for issuing timestamp challenge records. This page describes what is and is not collected.

What is not required

  • No account is required.
  • No email is required.
  • No payment is collected.
  • No image upload is required; photos stay on the channels you already use.

Optional username or seller name

Username or seller name is optional. If provided, it may appear on the public challenge record and generated PDF. WatchTimestamp does not verify usernames. Do not enter a username if you do not want it shown on the public challenge record.

Usernames are entered by the challenge creator; WatchTimestamp does not verify that a username belongs to the buyer, seller, listing owner, Reddit account holder, or anyone else.

Public challenge records

Challenge IDs, required watch times, issuance timestamps, status, and any optional username are public by design once a challenge is created. Anyone with the Challenge ID can open the lookup page and the printable sheet.

Usage data and cookies

We use first-party cookies or similar identifiers to remember anonymous sessions, basic attribution, and repeated visits. We may log basic usage events such as page views, challenge creation, public challenge views, and PDF or printable-sheet downloads to operate the tool, prevent abuse, and understand whether the utility is working. We do not use this standalone WatchTimestamp deployment for payments or AI listing generation.

Technical data & abuse prevention

Limited server logs (for example hashed IP and request metadata) are kept for a short window to apply rate limits and prevent abuse. These signals are not displayed on public pages and are not used for advertising.

What we do not do

  • WatchTimestamp does not sell challenge data.
  • WatchTimestamp does not provide transaction support, dispute review, escrow, or mediation.
  • WatchTimestamp does not authenticate watches, verify identity, or detect image manipulation.

Processors

The database is hosted on Supabase. The application is hosted on Railway. DNS and edge routing may pass through Cloudflare. No payment, AI, or listing-generation services run on this deployment.

Error monitoring or product analytics providers such as Sentry or PostHog are not used on this deployment unless configured later. If enabled, this policy should be updated to describe that processing.
